October 7, 2020 Update

The Columbia County Department of Health has released its numbers for today. Since yesterday, there has been one new case of COVID-19 and no new recoveries, increasing the number of active cases by one to fifteen. One person remains hospitalized, and one remains in the ICU. The number of county residents in mandatory and precautionary quarantine remains the today as yesterday. There have been no deaths from COVID-19 in Columbia County for 120 consecutive days.

With one positive out of 302 test results received, the positive percentage rate for today is 0.3 percent. The seven day rolling average, according to calculations, is 0.7 percent–that is, 15 positives out of 2,018 test results received.
