Notice of July 17, 2019 bridge construction and road closure-Fall Kill Bridge – Columbia Co. Rt 2/ Fall Kill – Town of Gallatin
Please be advised that the construction work to repair the Fall Kill Bridge, carrying Columbia County Route 2 over the Fall Kill, located approximately ¼ mile east of the Taconic State Parkway overpass, will begin and the bridge will be closed to all traffic on Wednesday July 17, 2019 by the County’s project contractor, Town & County Bridge & Rail Corp., of Albany, NY. Columbia County Route 2 will be closed to all traffic, although local traffic and residents will be able to access all properties located immediately east and west of the bridge at all times during the bridge repair work. Fall Kill Bridge will be closed for repairs for a maximum of three (3) weeks.
A temporary off-site traffic detour will be signed/posted by the contractor that will re-route all County Route 2 bridge traffic over Dutchess Co. Rte. 51; NYS Rte 199; and Dutchess Co. Rte. 50.
