CONSIDER ORDERING YOUR THANKSGIVING TURKEY FROM LOCAL FARMS
If you want to be farm-to-table for Thanksgiving and live in Gallatin, what are your options?
If you want to shop Gallatin here are two options:

Half Pint Farms, 23 County Route 15, Elizaville http://halfpintfarms.weebly. com/
518-851-3895 Kimberly & Michael Yambrick
The weight range of their turkeys is 20-25 lb. at $4 per lb. They will be processing them the Sunday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving depending on when you would like to pick them up. But you need to preorder by calling: 518-851-3895. They also have all natural beef and chicken as well as eggs, home-made baked goods such as bread and fudge. The farm market is open every Saturday, otherwise appointments can also be made.

Sky Acres Angus, 481 County Route 7, Gallatin http://www.skyacresangus.com/
518-398-6015 Carolyn & Ray Wendover
Turkeys are $5 per pound and are available for pickup Monday-Wednesday the week of Thanksgiving. They also offer pickup on Saturday for anybody who is up for the weekend and wants to take it home with them. A $20 deposit is required and credit cards are accepted over the phone (518-398-6015) for deposits. The farm market also sells the farm’s own pork, beef, lamb and chicken and eggs, as well as local preserves, pickles, honey and soups.
There are two well-established sources of turkey and other poultry within 20 minutes’ drive, but outside of Gallatin:
Quattro’s on Route 44 east of the Taconic Parkway
