Dear Friend of Milan Fire Department:

Your help is needed. Now!
We are experiencing an increase in demand for all blood types as area hospitals resume elective surgeries. To help meet demand, we will be running some select blood drives and a blood drive is coming near you!

Due to the current public health crisis and social distancing rules, donors ARE ENCOURAGED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

 Don’t forget to bring your donor ID card or other ID. Eat well and drink plenty of fluids before donating. We look forward to seeing you!

Do not donate if you have:

  • a fever or other symptoms of COVID-19 (cough, shortness of breath,
    or difficulty breathing)
  • had close contact with someone diagnosed with or suspected of
    having COVID-19 in the last 14 days
  • been diagnosed with or suspected of having COVID-19 until 14 days
    after your illness has resolved
  • NOTE: close contact is defined by CDC as being within 6 feet of an
    infected individual for a prolonged period of time

We do not test for COVID-19. Please contact your health care provider if you
want to be tested.
