David Ostwald’s Louis Armstrong Eternity Band, which plays at New York City’s famed Birdland jazz club, will perform at a benefit for the Roeliff Jansen Community Library.  There will be a reception with the artist following the show at a local resident’s home on Saturday, September 17th at 3 p.m.

The group has been together since 1980 and have appeared all around the world at many respected Jazz clubs, festivals, funeral processions and have played with Grammy nominees. Musicians will include Gordon Au, trumpet; Adrian Cunningham, clarinet, alto sax; Marion Felder, drums; Jim Fryer, trombone; David Ostwald, tuba and Vince Giordano, banjo and guitar.

Tickets are $75 each and seating is limited, tickets and more information is available here or can be reserved by mailing or bringing a check in person to the library. Checks should be made out to Roeliff Jansen Community Library, send to Roe Jan Library, PO Box 669, Hillsdale NY 12529 and must be received by September 15th.
