Happy New Year from the Gallatin History Committee!
Thank you to all who came to our history day back in September!
It was a successful day and wonderful to see so many neighbors out and about and interested in Gallatin history. We are grateful to those who brought in photographs and other historical items of interest for all of us to enjoy viewing and to add to the Gallatin archives.
Louisa Ruby will continue her efforts to interview Gallatin residents for the Gallatin Oral History Project. If you are interested in speaking with her, or know someone else who is, please contact her at [email protected].
We are also starting to think about a number of activities for 2024; a tour of the Gallatin Church and a workshop on how to research the history of your house are possibilities we are looking into.
If you would like to volunteer or have ideas about other activities the history committee can implement please send suggestions to [email protected].
We are looking forward to another neighborly history gathering this year. Please stay tuned.
