COOLING CENTERS AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC IN COLUMBIA COUNTY, NY…..
Per Columbia County Board of Supervisors Chairman Matt Murelll, Cooling Centers are being opened in Columbia County to allow area residents without air conditioning or other means of staying cool to escape the heat.
There are currently three sites confirmed; the Germantown Firehouse (181 Main Street, Germantown), the Stuyvesant Firehouse (194 Route 26A, Stuyvesant), and the Churchtown Firehouse (2219 Route 27, Claverack). These sites will be open daily from noon to 9:00 pm, today through Tuesday, July 3rd.
