From March 16 through May 14, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC)’s ban on residential brush burning will be in effect statewide.  This is because of New York’s historically high fire risk during this time period. The Town of Gallatin has an opening on the Board of Assessment Review (BAR).  The BAR meets the 4th Tuesday of May to hear assessment grievances.
