****If you change your address, it is your responsibility to inform the court****
The following applies to traffic tickets that are NOT misdemeanors. If you received a traffic ticket, please sign the appropriate plea section, make a copy, and mail the original ticket to our court by the return date indicated near the bottom left side of your ticket. Please note: This is not a court date.
Failure to submit your plea (Guilty or Not Guilty) could result in a suspended license.
***Plea Options***
→Plead Guilty– Mail in signed ticket OR send a letter via email/mail to the Court Clerk. Please include a ticket number and a clear statement of plea.
→Plead Not Guilty and go to Trial- Please contact our Court via email or phone to schedule an IN PERSON court date.
→Reduction Request- You are not required to appear in court. Our court must have your signed plea offer before your scheduled court date. Please visit the Columbia County District Attorney’s website for a reduction request. www.columbiacountyny.com/trafficticket.html
All questions about fines, penalties, and rescheduling of court dates/appearances must be addressed to our court NOT the DA’s Office.

→To pay by mail- Please make a Money Order or Certified Bank Check payable to Gallatin Town Court. In the memo, please include date of birth and ticket number. Please note we do not accept personal or business checks.
