ABOUT THE SURVEY
Climate adaptation and resiliency are ways that we adapt and protect our resources.
In general, resilient communities are communities that take care of their critical systems that support life, protect clean water, air and the environment, and promote economic vitality in an equitable way.
Approaches that enhance community resilience include items like planning, zoning and collaboration. Specific actions might include
• Implementing best management practices for storm water (green infrastructure)
• Protecting streams and banks by keeping undeveloped buffer zones where flood water can flow
• Creating emergency communication plans with and among residents
• Continuing efforts county wide for increased cellular service
• Create a heat emergency plan.
Please see the survey for additional strategies
