Solstice Community Solar For Gallatin Residents

Dear Gallatin Resident,

The Town of Gallatin is excited to announce that there is expanded capacity on community solar farms in NY and that you are eligible to sign up through Gallatin’s partnership with Solstice. Signing up will reduce your electricity bills by up to 10% each month and does not require you to put any solar panels on your property. To date, 68 Gallatin residents have signed up for Solstice’s community solar program, and have collectively achieved over $10,000 in annual savings.  During this enrollment campaign, Gallatin residents who sign up for Solstice will receive a $50 sign-on bonus, and the town will receive a matching donation of $50 as well.

This Community Solar Campaign is a joint initiative by the Town of Gallatin, the Gallatin Climate Smart Communities Taskforce, and Solstice Community Solar, and is intended to help our residents reduce their electricity costs and promote clean energy for our community.

What is community solar?

Unlike traditional rooftop solar, community solar is free to join, you do not need to put any solar panels on your property, and both owners and renters are able to participate. You sign up for a portion of a shared solar farm in NY and switch to solar that way. As our solar farm produces electricity, you will see reductions on your electricity bills.

 Why choose community solar?

  1. You get your same utility bill as always, just with up to 10% savings each month
  2. No need to install solar panels on your home
  3. No cost to join, no fee to cancel

How to sign up:

To sign up, we recommend calling Solstice at (866) 826-1997 so its customer service team can help you through the process and answer questions. Alternatively, you can sign up online at solstice.us/gallatin

Be sure to use our referral code “GALLATIN” to receive the $50 sign-on bonus and trigger a matching $50 donation to our town!
