County Rte. 7 Closed at the Intersection of Tinker Hill Rd. and County Rte. 7

Please be advised that as a part of the Columbia County Department of Public Works efforts to replace and/or rehabilitate its aging infrastructure, construction of the replacement of a Large Culvert, carrying Columbia County Rte. 7 over a tributary to the Roeliff Jansen Kill, has started as of May 5, 2025.  The detour is posted and the bridge is  now closed.   Construction should be complete in September-October 2025.  This culvert is located in the Town of Gallatin at the intersection of County Road 7 and Tinker Hill Road, near the Gallatin Town Hall

In order to replace this structure, we will need to close the culvert and Co. Rte. 7 at the bridge approaches, with all Co. Rte. 7 traffic being re-routed temporarily on an off-site detour.  The posted off-site detour will traverse Co. Rte. 7, County Routes 11 & 8, and NYS Route 82 and will be utilized for the estimated 4-5 month duration of this bridge replacement project.
