Census 2020 Update
Dear Gallatin Residents,
Our response rate is lagging, it you haven’t done so, please self respond to the 2020 Census today.
It is very important that we are counted!

Information on the 2020 Census Enumeration Phase to begin August 11.
We now have approximately 10 weeks to achieve self-response success before the enumeration phase (door knocking) begins on August 11. With the current sensitivity to social distancing, this is a great opportunity to let people know they can avoid personal contact by taking a few minutes to self-respond from the privacy of their own homes.
How to Identify Census Field Staff
- Census field staff can be identified by their Census Photo Identification and one or more of the following items: laptop computer with a Census Bureau logo, iPad with a Census Bureau logo, iPhone with a Census Bureau logo, and a black canvass bag with a Census logo.
- If someone visits your home this year to collect information for the 2020 Census, check to make sure they have a valid ID badge with their photograph, a U.S. Department of Commerce watermark, and an expiration date.
