Information on the 2020 Census Enumeration Phase to begin August 11.

We now have approximately 10 weeks to achieve self-response success before the enumeration phase (door knocking) begins on August 11. With the current sensitivity to social distancing, this is a great opportunity to let people know they can avoid personal contact by taking a few minutes to self-respond from the privacy of their own homes.

How to Identify Census Field Staff

• Census field staff can be identified by their Census Photo Identification and one or more of the following items: laptop computer with a Census Bureau logo, iPad with a Census Bureau logo, iPhone with a Census Bureau logo, and a black canvass bag with a Census logo.

• If someone visits your home this year to collect information for the 2020 Census, check to make sure they have a valid ID badge with their photograph, a U.S. Department of Commerce watermark, and an expiration date.
