Friday, January 21, 2022 Chairman’s press release ‘NICE TO SEE A DROP-OFF’ On Wednesday, the Columbia County Department of Health recorded 104 new cases of COVID-19 infection among county residents, with 122 cases Thursday, and 75 as of midday today. “It’s nice to see that drop-off,” said county DOH Director Jack Mabb. As the daily report shows, while the number of hospitalizations are at the same levels as last year and deaths are less frequent, the infection level is 3 times higher.
