The Columbia County Department of Health has released its weekly breakdown of COVID-19 cases by municipality and nursing home. Since last Friday, there have been 24 new cases, twice as many as in the previous week. Ghent Assisted Living saw the largest number of new cases with twelve.   CHAIRMAN’S PRESS RELEASE FIVE HOSPITALIZED FROM GHENT ASSISTED LIVING OUTBREAK The Ghent Assisted Living Facility has experienced an outbreak of COVID-19 that finds five residents hospitalized, Columbia County Department of Health Director Jack Mabb said Thursday. Since Sunday, there have been five new cases of COVID-19 and one recovery, increasing the number of active cases by four to seventeen. There is one more person hospitalized with the virus today than Sunday, and one in the ICU when there were none on Sunday.
