Zero Waste Columbia (ZWC) is a citizen volunteer group committed to education and action that can move us towards zero waste in Columbia County. We seek to create a more sustainable and resilient world today and for future generations.

Zero waste means we aim to send nothing to the landfill. We reduce what we need, reuse as much as possible, minimize what we recycle and compost whenever possible. Our members are also active participants in our town Climate Smart Committees, Town Councils, and the Columbia County Environmental Management Council.
