Around Gallatin: Local Events & Meetings (March 18 and Beyond)

Following is a list of local meetings and events compiled by Zoe Meier:

 

 

Friday, March 18

Taconic Hills will be closed on Friday, March 18, due to a Superintendent’s Conference.

Pine Plains will have a half day of school Friday, March 18, dismissal at 12 p.m. also for a Superintendent’s Conference.

Saturday, March 19 

The work of local fashion designer Vilma Marė will be featured at the Roeliff Jansen Community Library from 5:30-7:00 p.m.  Her work is inspired by the peaceful Baltic myth about, Egle, Queen of Serpents. Vilma is known for her textual women’s pieces sold and designed at her local clothing stores in Hudson and Great Barrington. http://www.roejanlibrary.org/.

Mondays (8:00-9:30 a.m.)

Every Monday at the Roe-Jan Community Library. Yoga with Roberta Roll. Classes suitable for beginners and advanced. $20 per class or pay $95 for a series of eight. A portion of the proceeds helps support programs in the Roe-Jan Library. http://www.roejanlibrary.org/.

Ancram Kid’s Camp Sign Up

The camp is limited to 50 kids, to apply for camp registration click here.  Camp includes swim lessons, field trips, games, sports, free swim, activities, arts & crafts, and a reading program.

There will be six different sessions that children can sign up for. The camp will run from July 5 – August 12. For more information click here.

Thursday-March 31

The Columbia County Conservation Advisory Council “Roundtable” from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the Roe-Jan Community Library.  The Council works with communities on issues such as natural resource plans, invasive species, undersized culverts, and more.  http://www.roejanlibrary.org/.
